The English name “ZCB” is an acronym for “Zero Carbon Building” and sounds like "sexy bee" which is a symbol of sustainability and easy to remember. Its Chinese name “建造業零碳天地” literally means “Zero Carbon World”.
CIC-Zero Carbon Park (CIC-ZCP) is to serve as an exhibition centre, an education centre and an information centre for zero/low carbon building design and technologies and for promoting low carbon living in Hong Kong.
CIC-ZCP shall showcase the state-of-the-art eco-building design and technologies to the construction industry locally and internationally.
CIC-ZCP shall raise community awareness of low carbon living in Hong Kong and promote behavioural changes towards low carbon living by providing guided CIC-ZCP tours and organising education programmes.
CIC-ZCP shall regularly disseminate the latest low/Zero Carbon Park technologies and practices to industry stakeholders.
CIC-Zero Carbon Park (CIC-ZCP) is to serve as a platform for the construction industry to share knowledge and expertise in low/Zero Carbon Park design and technologies, but also help to raise community awareness of low carbon living.
