The CIC will record the visits to CIC Website by using cookies and page tagging without collecting any personal identifiable information of users.
A cookie is a small amount of data created in a computer when a person visits a website on the computer. It often includes an anonymous unique identifier. A cookie can be used to identify a computer. It, however, is not used to collect any personal information. In other words, it does not have the function of identifying an individual user of the website.
Cookies are used by the CIC to collect statistics about the number of visits of users to CIC Website and the users’ preference of websites and online services offered on CIC Website.
You may choose to accept or reject cookies. If you reject the cookies, you will not be able to use some of the functions of CIC Website, such as saving your preferences in using the CIC Website and accessing some online services on CIC Website.
Javascript and pixel tags are used to collect statistics on customer usage patterns of CIC Website and online services offered on CIC Website; and for tracking the performance of our online advertisements. A pixel tag is a transparent image placed on certain webpages to collect data on user activities. The collected data are aggregated and analysed for measuring the effectiveness, improving the usability of CIC Website and the services / online advertisements provided on CIC Website. No personal or identifiable information about a visitor would be collected.
You may disable JavaScript on your computer. Disabling JavaScript should not affect your access to CIC Website, but you will not be able to use some of the CIC Website functions, such as changing text size and accessing CIC online services offered through CIC Website.
For different purposes and at different times you may be invited to provide personal data to the CIC through CIC Website on a voluntary basis. Personal information may include name, telephone number, mailing address or e-mail address. The CIC will specify the collection purpose and intended usage of your data when it invites you to provide such information and advise you how you may request access to or correction of the personal data provided.
Unless permitted or required by law, the CIC will not disclose your personal data to any third parties without your prior consent.
CIC Website uses TLS protocol to encrypt data during network transmission to protect your personal data. All personal data you provide to the CIC via CIC Website are secured, and access to them is restricted to authorised personnel only.
Zero Carbon Park (“CIC-ZCP”) shall not be liable and shall not compensate in any way to any person for any personal injury, death and lost happened in the activities and events. Participants shall participate the activities and events entirely at his/her own responsibility.
Participants shall follow the Terms & Conditions, and all other rules and regulations which may be adopted by CIC-ZCP. All information provided shall be true and accurate. Information found to be false will result in disqualification without prior notice. CIC-ZCP shall not be liable and shall not compensate for any damage caused.
Subject to the Personal Information Collection Statement that the Participants are informed of (either during the application process for the activities and events or after being successfully enrolled for the activities and events), the Participants agree CIC-ZCP to utilize any appearance, name, photo, video and voice file submitted to or collected by the CIC-ZCP in connection with the activities and events (‘such information’), for organization, promotion and publicity of the activities and events, and future events by the CIC-ZCP and Construction Industry Council (“CIC”). CIC-ZCP shall own all rights including but not limited to copyrights arising from materials (e.g. photos, videos, printed materials prepared by CIC-ZCP) (‘such materials’) that contain such information.
Subject to the Personal Information Collection Statement that the Participants are informed of (either during the application process for the activities and events, or after being successfully enrolled for the activities and events, CIC-ZCP may exhibit, copy, edit, publish or use in any way such information and such materials. No further approval needs to be obtained from participants and participants shall waive any right of inspection associated with such materials.
Adverse Weather Arrangement and Notice:
In case of inclement weather before and during the activities and events, CIC-ZCP reserves the right to cancel, close, delay, rearrange the activities and events without prior notice. Any special arrangement due to adverse weather will be announced on CIC-ZCP Facebook page @CIC.ZCPHK
CIC-ZCP reserves the right to change these Terms & Conditions without prior notice.
Participants shall accept and follow these Terms & Conditions upon participation.
If there is any discrepancy between the Chinese and English versions of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
In the event of any dispute, the decision of CIC-ZCP shall be final and conclusive.
Zero Carbon Park and Construction Industry Council (referred collectively as “we”, “our”, or “us”) collect personal information from you during the application process for various forms of activities, or during the course of activities (if you are enrolled as a participant), which may include your name, gender, age, mobile number, email address, username on social media, hobbies and interests, as well as other information. Provision of your personal data is voluntary. In the event that you refuse to provide certain information required, we may not be able to process your application for the relevant activity.
Personal data collected may be used by us for the purposes of: (a) our activities that you participate in, including processing applications for activities; (b) organization, promotion and publicity of activities that you participate in and any of our future activities; (c) statistical study on participants of activities; (d) internal study and analysis; and (e) marketing research. Our use of your personal data may include generating materials from or containing your personal data. We may disclose or transfer your personal data to any agent, contractor or third party service provider (“Third Party Service Providers”) who provides administrative, telecommunications, computer and other services to us in connection with the processing and storage of your data for the purposes stated above.
Our Third Party Service Providers are subject to a duty of confidentiality and are contractually bound to protect your personal data privacy and to only use your personal data in connection with the purpose specified in paragraph 2 above and not for their own purpose.
